Student shoots self in classroom at La Salle
GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) –
A student has been taken to the hospital after shooting himself in a classroom at La Salle High School.
The student was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, but his name and condition have not been released. The incident happened at around 9 a.m.
The student did not threaten any of his classmates, and no one else was hurt.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office says it is not an active shooter situation.
The school was placed on lockdown after the shooting, but parents are now being allowed in the school to meet with their sons.
LaSalle is on North Bend Road in Green Township. It is a private all-boys school associated with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. It has an enrollment of about 800 students.
School officials are urging everyone to pray for the victim and the school.
